About the Center

The Wise Woman Center exists to re-weave
the healing cloak of the Ancients. This land is sacred, it is a
safe space for women, and a place for the teachings of the Wise
Woman way. The Goddess lives here, as do goats, fairies, green witches,
and elders.
Located between Woodstock and Saugerties, 5 miles from the NYS
Thruway, the Wise Woman Center is easily accessible while private
enough for nude swimming. You’ll receive a map and directions
when you register.
Incredible wild-food
vegetarian meals are included with all workshops.Two- and
three-day workshops (limited enrollment) include camping or indoor
sleeping space and meals.
Want to visit? Don’t have money for a class? Join us for
a work-exchange retreat or come to a moonlodge.
There’s no charge and its lots of fun.
Please don’t expect Susun to consult with you privately when
you’re here. Instead, call our free herbal/health hot line
(845-246-8081) Tuesday evenings, 7:30-9:30 pm EST, dates are April 21 through October 27.

REFUND POLICY: If you cancel more than two weeks (15 days or more) before the workshop, we are able to offer you a full refund minus a $25 office fee. If you cancel within two weeks (14 days or less) of the workshop, we will be happy to apply your payment (minus a $25 office fee) to any other class at the Wise Woman Center. No show; no refund; non-negotiable. You may transfer your payment to another person at any time, no extra charge.

Work exchange is available.
Our space is limited. While some classes fill quickly, others
are open to the last minute. If registering within two weeks of
an event, give us a fax number for confirmation.
We answer the phone only on Wednesday and only between 11-4 pm
(East coast time). All other times the answering machine is on.
You may fax anytime, except on Wednesday.

Moonlodge gatherings are free and open to women of all ages. No
need to register; arrive between 6:45 and 7:15 pm. We sing, dance,
pass the talking stick and honor women’s wisdom. We’ll

for a Scholarship
Send a letter and let us know what learning opportunity you are interested in. Scholarships are available for all classes and workshops at the Wise Woman Center as well as for live-in (shamanic) and live-out (wise woman) apprenticeships.
Scholarships are available only to women of color and Native American
women.

women: a chance to visit the Wise Woman Center!
We begin at 10 am each day with a talking stick ceremony, then work
indoors and outdoors in gardens, barn, office, kitchen, and grounds.
Join us for a Work/Learn day or a Work Weekend.
Work Weekends at the Wise Woman Center
A delicious vegetarian lunch is our “thank you”
for your help, plus, you receive a credit card good toward classes,
dinner, an overnight stay, or any of our books or tapes.
