Many men in our society today are experiencing a deep sense of isolation, lack of fulfillment and painful separation from the inner power of real male authority that once bequeathed a man his natural place upon this earth.

Lost within a civilization that misuses and abuses the beneficence of Mother Nature’s all-giving wisdom, beauty, fertility and love, he suffers the painful ignorance and greedy, forceful and materialistic ways of a world that no longer respects and revers the sacredness of the womb of woman and the sacredness of the womb of the earth.

And devoid of any sense of real purpose, he continually seeks a false sense of gratification in myriad outer places that offer him no real presence of true masculinity and no real fulfillment as a man.

And what is his real purpose? His real purpose is for his love to reach tenderly and deeply into the fathomless wellspring of this womb space, to give to and receive and become one with the female power of Shakti, to call her forth, to welcome her into her true place of sacredness upon this earth, for this his also his true place of sacredness.

His real purpose is to enliven and enlighten the ancient power of the womb with loving heartfelt passion. And his real purpose is for his loving of Shakti to burn the past hurts and traumas and sorrows from the concentric layers and fathomless depths of the womb, to inspire her to awaken into full consciousness through fully surrendering to and becoming her inherent loving wisdom. This is where his power lies.

For he has forgotten and forsaken the true meaning and purpose of the spiritual warrior. And he has forgotten his sacredness and his divinity and his power to merge and to melt into and beyond the divine essence and profound mystery of the womb. And it is within the profundity of this ancient mystery that he also faces his deepest fears, what he most desires to run from and what he has made decisions to ignore.

This loving and ancient universal mystery of the womb is what he most yearns for, most longs for, most desires beyond all else, and yet it this is also where he is most afraid to enter, to surrender, into this cauldron of fire and passion of the womb. When the womb is fully open, She, Shakti reveals the immortality and infinity of her sweetly yielding heart-filled space, as she creates a heart-centred embrace that enfolds lovers within a delicious glow of profound healing and divine love that is formless, timeless and nameless. And it is within this glow that he will find his true nature, his true authority and the inner fulfillment of joy-filled peace.

During pregnancy the expansive abundance of the womb becomes visible, obvious and less hidden. Making love in pregnancy can be tenderly intimate, vibrantly passionate and deeply fulfilling, for the womb is now so sensually open, so fecundly fruitful, so open and filled with the powerful promise of new beginnings and the powerful presence of new life.

Although many women enjoy the tender openness and expansive freedom of making love during pregnancy, some women contract and withdraw from making love at this time through a fear of hurting their baby or a fear of deeply opening to their partner. And a man can also sometimes fear making love with his pregnant partner, as if he is committing some kind of sin, as if someone is watching him, judging him, condemning him. Such fear, terror and paranoia run deep, often originating in early childhood, prenatal and birthing experiences.

For they are created by a society that does not honour the wisdom, power and all-encompassing love of the universal womb. And sometimes making love during pregnancy can also awaken suppressed memories of early sexual trauma in both parents. For each partner carries cellular impressions of many generations of unhealed family secrets and conditioning within the deep wellspring of the psyche.

Many cultural myths portray graphic imagery of the spirit of the vagina and the womb as a devouring female demon who destroys men and swallows them whole. This potent symbolism often appears in dreams, nightmares and phases of inner transformation as denigration, fear and disrespect of female sensuality, power, and passion. And only love heals this ignorance that has seeped so insidiously into the personal and collective psyche.

Lovemaking during pregnancy can be deeply and intimately healing and filled with profound ecstasy, for the womb is so joyously ripe now with new life during this sacred phase of the nine moons. As both partners dissolve into the tender yet powerful waves of the passionate womb, the one love that ignited the spark of conception nourishes this unborn babe and fills it with life.

Conscious lovemaking and conscious loving of the womb create tender compassion, natural empathy and heightened sensitivity and respect for all of life. And conscious nurturing and honouring of the womb’s deeper and finer vibrations create an abundant garden where true love is free to flower in innocent wonderment, blissful freedom and sacred grace.
